I’m not that complicated. My complications come out in my songs. All you need to do to be my friend is like me… And listen.

No matter what love throws at you, you have to believe in it. You have ot believe in love stories and prince charmings and happily ever after. That’s why I write these songs. Because I think love is FEARLESS.

There is a time for silence. There is a time waiting your turn. But if you know how you feel, and you so clearly know what you need to say, you’ll know it. I don’t think you should wait. I think you should SPEAK NOW.

There’s something to be proud of about moving on and realizing that real love shines golden like starlight, and doesn’t fade or spontaneously combust. Maybe I’ll write a whole album about that kind of love if I ever find it. But this album is about the other kids of love that I’ve recently fallen in and out of. Love that was treacherous, sad, beautiful, and tragic. But most of all, this record is about love that was RED.

This slope is treacherous... I, I, I, like it..

“She’s the real deal. Absolutely the real deal in every way, shape and form. She’s a writer, she’s a singer, she’s a beautiful girl, apparently she’s got her head on straight (…) like, she’s gonna be around. (…) She’s writing pop songs now, but she’s 20 years old. And they’re hit pop songs. She’s good, she’s real.” – Jon Bon Jovi

your sweet disposition, and my wide eyed gaze

Fans are my favorite thing in the world. I’ve never been the type of artist who has that line drawn between their friends and their fans. The line’s always been really blurred for me. I’ll hang out with them after the show. I’ll hang out with them before the show. If I see them in the mall, I’ll stand there and talk to them for 10 minutes.
